[17th UTokyo FFP] New Classes Start Online

We are pleased to announce that the 17th UTokyo FFP started its classes online (conducted live on Zoom).

Even in a tough situation where the COVID-19 pandemic has not ended, we received a large number of applications. The 17th UTokyo FFP started with 61 participants in total (Thu/Fri classes) and nine observers from other institutes.

 

UTokyo FFP has shifted to fully online classes since the 15th program. We will make continuous efforts in delivering and refining UTokyo FFP-like online classes to play a leading role in making education online.

For anyone (e.g., graduate students, postdocs, and faculty/staff members) who would like to enhance their teaching skills!
“The University of Tokyo Future Faculty Program (UTokyo FFP): Teaching Development in Higher Education”
Application now open!

Faculty members are required to have skills not only in research but also in teaching.
UTokyo FFP will provide a practical learning space to enhance your teaching skills.

★ You can systematically learn “how to teach”!
★ You can build a network across diverse fields!
★ On completion of the program, you receive an official certificate that you can attach to your resume!
★ Graduate students can also receive academic credits!

・Thursday class (capacity: 25 participants): Periods 3–4

Introduction of “Spotlight event” by Global FD held on April 20th

The Global Faculty Development (GFD) Program would like to invite you to a spotlight event with three members of Tokyo College next Tuesday, April 20th, from 5-6:30pm JST.

The theme is ” Collaborative interdisciplinary course design: a case study from Tokyo College”.

This is a great opportunity to get to know Tokyo College and to learn from their experience developing an interdisciplinary seminar for undergraduates.

[16th UTokyo FFP] Certificate Award Ceremony Conducted

The 16th Certificate Award Ceremony of “The University of Tokyo Future Faculty Program (UTokyo FFP)” was held on Zoom on Friday, March 5th, 2021.
Thirty-nine participants completed the 16th program, and each of them received a certificate. They had a congratulatory address from Prof. Takumi Moriyama, Director of the Center for Research and Development of Higher Education, The University of Tokyo.
Alumni also appeared as guest speakers and explained their various activities after completion of the program and their alumni network.

UTokyo FFP has produced a total of 753 people who completed the program coming from every graduate school at The University of Tokyo.
